A computer that finishes things.
The computer we have now stops the moment you take your hands off it. Ours holds all of your work, learns how you do it, and carries a job through the dull middle while you're away, coming back when a person has to decide something.
It does the logistics. The craft, the judgement and the send button stay with you.
The computer does not exist yet. We published the argument first, in a founding document called The New Computer, and we expect to be held to it.

What we will not build
The god-machine
Not in a large version, not in a small one, not in a version of it with better manners. It is the wrong shape for the problem and for the people it is meant to serve.
A machine that decides for you
This machine finishes work. It will not be built to choose which work is worth doing, or to tell you what your standards ought to be.
A product made from your context
Your context stays on your machine. It will not be sold, rented, mined for advertising, or quietly used to make a better product for somebody who is not you.
A third party in the room
Your computer has one owner and answers to them. No company pays us to shape what your own machine suggests to you.
A business built on your attention
We would rather build a machine whose highest achievement is that you shut it at three in the afternoon and go and do something else.
